About Psalm 139

Dignity, delivered directly.

Psalm 139 is a verified direct-giving platform connecting South Africans who want to help to specific people who need it — with every rand accounted for.

Our Mission

Too much giving disappears into overhead, pooled funds, and uncertainty — and the people it's meant for are left invisible. Psalm 139 exists to change that: to make generosity direct, dignified, and fully accountable. A donor chooses a real, verified individual; the funds reach that person alone; and they spend it themselves, with dignity, on what they actually need.

How It Works

Every beneficiary on the platform is verified in person and vouched for by a partner shelter that knows them by name. Funds can be spent only on food, shelter and clothing at verified partner stores — never withdrawn as cash, never pooled, never skimmed. The donor sees exactly where every rand went. The result is something rare in giving: proof.

No middleman. No guesswork. Just a person, given the means and the dignity to choose.
Our Vision

We're building Psalm 139 to become the trusted rail for direct giving across South Africa — a national network of verified individuals, partner shelters, and partner stores, where any person or organisation can give to a real human being and watch that gift become a meal, a night indoors, a step back toward stability. We're starting carefully and locally, and building outward with the same standard of verification and transparency at every scale.

Our Origin

Psalm 139 began with a simple refusal: to keep walking past. It was founded in Stellenbosch by people who kept crossing paths with those living on the streets of their own town — not only without food or shelter, but looked through as if they weren't there. What is taken from a person first isn't money. It's dignity. Psalm 139 was built to give a measure of that back — and to do it in a way donors and partners can fully trust.

Psalm 139 doesn't ask to be the hero of this story. It's a bridge — built so the person who gives and the person who receives are the ones who matter, with the truth of every rand visible between them.
